Back to basics. Good ol’ imperial stout. Unpretentious, does not try too hard with all sorts of novel ingredients.

Strong chocolate and toffee flavours. High alcoholic content apparent without burning harshness. Moderate bitterness balances sweetness. Full bodied but not unbearably heavy. Mild carbonation.
